Patent attorney DUKKYU CHOI is the founder of DK CHOI & PARTNERS which was established in 1993. Previously, it was known as JO & CHOI which was founded by Mr. Chihoon Jo and Mr. Choi in 1989 before they separated.

Prior to the patent law practice in South Korea , Mr. Choi had several internship opportunities with other law firms located in the U.S.A. such as Berman, Aisenburg & Platt in Washington, D.C., and Union Carbide Corporation at Danbury, Connecticut.

Mr. Choi was an adjunct professor in Kwangwoon University from 1999 to 2000 and an instructor for a number of higher education, such as Yonsei, Kyung Hee, Inha, Sookmyung Women's and Kyonggi University.

Mr. Choi has an extensive experience and knowledge on specific technologies that includes textile and polymer engineering and industrial chemistry. He obtained his B.S. in Textile and Polymer Engineering from Seoul National University in 1980. He was admitted to the Korean Patent Attorneys Association in 1986, and is currently a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association, International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, Licensing Executives Society, and International Trademark Association.

Further, Mr. Choi obtained his Master in Intellectual Property (MIP) from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord in New Hampshire, U.S.A. in 1988. He is the author of numerous books such as, "Patent Law" (2000), "Trademark Law" (1999), "Fundamental Problems in Intellectual Property Right" (2004), "A Documentary Report about the Problems in the Mass Transit System in South Korea" (2004), "Upgrade Your English" (2005), and so on.

Patent Attorney GILEEM PARK joined us when Alpha International Patent Law Office was merged with DK CHOI & PARTNERS in March 2004. Ms. Park was the representative patent attorney of the former office.
