National Filings and PCT National Phase Filings

Documents for Filing an Application:

1.  A patent application should contain abstract, specification, claims and drawings (if necessary) in Korean language. On-line filing or a paper application is available. Any foreign language should be translated into Korean at the time of filing.

2.   The size of drawings (if applicable) is 21¡¿29.7 cm (A4 size). Photocopies of the drawings are acceptable. Formal drawings are not required.

3.  General Power of Attorney, signed by the applicant(s), without legalization; you can save additional fees (approx. $100.00) for late-filing if you send the Power of Attorney prior to filing the application.

4.  Assignment of invention, signed by the inventor(s), or Declaration of inventor(s) or Oath is not required.

5.  If priority is claimed, a certified copy of priority document must be filed within 16 months of the priority date.

Information:

1.  Names, nationalities and addresses of applicant(s) and inventor(s).

2.  Information concerning priority claim, i.e. date, place and number of the original application.
